Hey mamas!
Ever wondered why your hips might feel a bit wider after pregnancy, and what you can do about it?
Whether you’ve just had a baby or it’s been years since you gave birth, you can still gently realign your pelvis and feel more comfortable in your favorite jeans.
Let’s dive into why this happens and a simple trick to help you out.
During pregnancy, your body goes through amazing changes.
As your belly grows to make room for your baby, your pelvis loosens up thanks to hormones like relaxin.
This natural widening helps during birth, but it can also change the way your hips and femur are positioned.
Over time, you might notice you’re walking a bit differently—maybe more like a penguin when you were pregnant! This can lead to external rotation of the hips and even a tendency to put more weight on the outside of your feet.
Now, here’s the good news: even if it’s been years, your body still knows how to adjust.
I’m sharing a simple 5-second pelvic hack that you can do daily.
It’s not a quick fix, but it’s an easy-peasy, gentle stimulation to help your body find its balance again.
Ideally, try it when you’re lying down before bed so there’s less tension on your body, and let your muscles and joints gently realign.
You don’t need to stress or put pressure on yourself.
Just a few seconds a day can start to make a difference.
And if you’d like more guidance, I’ve created a 4-week routine you can do right from your bed, designed to be low-stress and UNLEASH your body’s wisdom to adjust little by little.
