This was exactly how I looked at the gym.
Seriously. 🤣
If someone had filmed me, I probably would have looked more like a cavewoman than a fitness professional.
But that's what made this experiment interesting.
Recently I've been exploring a simple question:
What happens if I stop trying to move correctly?
Instead of standing taller, engaging my core, fixing my posture, or trying to walk efficiently...
I simply let gravity do more of the work.
Immediately, my walking changed.
・I leaned forward more.
・My body felt softer.
・My movement felt less controlled.
And honestly?
I looked ridiculous. 🤣
But something unexpected happened.
・My breathing stayed easy.
・My effort level dropped.
・I wasn't getting tired.
・Yet my body kept getting warmer.
The biggest surprise was what I felt around my psoas.
The deep muscles at the front of the spine and hips seemed to wake up naturally.
Not because I was trying to activate them.
Not because I was doing a special exercise.
They simply seemed to join the movement.
After the treadmill session, another interesting thing happened.
When I returned to my normal walking pattern,
I naturally stood taller and felt more aligned.
・No posture cue.
・No correction.
・No forcing.
Just different.
That made me wonder:
?What if good walking isn't one perfect posture?
?What if the goal isn't to stay in one position?
?What if healthy movement is the ability to explore many options?
Modern human.
Cavewoman.
Somewhere in between.
Maybe movement isn't about finding the perfect way to walk.
Maybe it's about keeping our options open.
For now, this is only an observation.
Not a conclusion.
Just another experiment.
